Braided Bangs

Image
Hey guys! I love braids and this is the new hairstyle that I have been wearing a lot recently to keep my bangs out of my face.  I start at my bangs and begin a french braid, and after i have a good amount of hair I finish it off as a normal braid.  I normally like to stop before I reach my ear and afterwards I pull the braid apart to make it look thicker.  Also, I like to add some loose waves with a curling iron for the hair left down.

My Favorite Side Braid

Image
Hey guys! So I've been on a bit of a braid kick lately since they're super easy to do and they look gorgeous.  This side braid is one that I have been wearing a lot on my trip and its super simple.  For this look, I did a side part and gathered all my hair to one side.  Then I started a French Braid right at the front of my head and continued adding all my hair into it.  Once I had all my hair braided, I pulled the braid apart a little bit and took out some pieces to frame my face.  Hope you enjoy!

Waterfall Braids

Image
Hey guys! I love waterfall braids because my hair is on the thinner side so I like to leave as much down as possible when pulling my hair back because I can tend to seem bald (especially with the blond hair).  I'm not skilled enough to do one continuous waterfall braid around my entire head so instead I braided on each side to the middle of the back of my head and tied both braids with a clear elastic. For my braid, I started off with 3 sections at the front of my head and started a normal braid.  After I started it, I added some hair to the top strand and then crossed it over towards the middle, then you drop the bottom strand and pick up a piece of hair next to it, and cross that towards the middle.  I kept repeating this process until I got to the back of my head and did the same to the other side.  Waterfall braids can be confusing and I'm debating on starting a YouTube channel so I could post a video for you to be able to see step by step.  Lemme know ...

Dresses and Jean Jackets

Image
Hey guys!  I had to pack light since I'll be in Spain for 5 weeks and my checked bag could only be 50 pounds (somehow I managed 45) so I decided to pack a lot of simple dresses that I could dress up or down to wear multiple times.  This one is one of my favorites.  It has a beautiful crochet pattern over a floral slip and I decided to pair it with a jean jacket for a more casual look.  You can't see me feet, but I wore black and gold sandals.

French Braid Pony

Hey guys! Being in a foreign country it can be difficult to use curling irons and straighteners since they can either overheat or not be hot enough from the difference in wattage, so I have been doing many heatless hairstyles.  For this hairstyle, I started doing a normal French Braid with all my hair and did not create a part.  I finished the braid until I got to the end of my hair and then tied it off into a ponytail.  I then took a small section and wrapped it around to hide the hair band and pinned it with a bobby pin.  Finally, I took out some pieces to frame my face and that was all! It held up all day through my hospital shift and I got many compliments!
